The New Westminster Jr A Salmonbellies continued their winning ways with an 18-6 win over the visiting Nanaimo Timberman Sunday at Queen's Park Arena. Mr Mikes Offensive Player of the Game, Connor Robinson, led the way with 4 goals and 3 assists. Luke Gillespie had another strong defensive effort and was awarded the Mr Mikes Defensive Player of the Game, all while scoring three times from the back end.
Jr Bellies next game is June 22 versus the Nanaimo Timberman at 5:00PM. Then, it is Rotary Night, June 24, 8:00PM against the Langley Thunder. All Rotarians get in free at the door. During the game, the RotaryClub of New Westminster will make a sponsoship presentation to the Jr Bellies - it should be a great night !!
On Wednesday night in Coquitlam, the Jr Bellies reeled off six goals in the middle frame enroute to a 12-10 victory over the Coquitlam Adanacs. This was the 5th Bellie win in the past 6 games between the two arch rivals. Leading the way defensively was Aaron Madaisky, the Mr Mikes Defensive Player of the Game. Johnny Pearson with 4 goals was named Mr Mikes Offensive Player of the Game.
A night later, in Burnaby, the Bellies defeated the Burnaby Lakers 15-8 behind the strong goaltending of Mike Flintoff. Newcomer Eric Kratz, a callup from the Richmond Roadrunners Intermediate A team, played the last few minutes of the game and played shutout ball. Well done Eric !

On Saturday night in Delta, the Jr Bellies dominated from the outset, and pulled away to a 9-4 first period lead over the Delta Islanders. The final score ended up 16-10 for the 'Bellies who were led by Mr Mikes Offensive Player of the Game Anthony Malcom and the steady defensive play of Mr Mikes DPoG Quinn Mackay.
