Hugely successful '94 Minto Champs reunion night

The Jr Bellies had a successful night Tuesday, on Reunion Night for the 1994 Minto Cup Champions. The Bellies dominated the Port Coquitlam Saints in the first period, going into the intermission up 10-1.  During the intermission, the 1994 Minto Cup Championship team gave their thanks to the coaches and executive of the '94 team in the form of commemorative jerseys.  A standing "O" for these guys on a very classy recognition of deserving people. 

The game ended 20-5 New Westminster.  Star of the game Luke Gillespie won the Mr Mikes Transition Player of the Game Award, scoring four times from the defensive zone. Connor Robinson won the Offensive Player of the game Award and the Defensive Player of the Game Award went to Justin Goodwin. 

Next up are the Delta Islanders, Saturday night at Sun God Arena.

Bellies go big

On Sunday evening in Nanaimo, the Jr Bellies scored big, trouncing the home Timberman 22-2 at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.  Nathan Stewart, Mr Mike's Offensive Player of the Game and Wyatt Pinder, Mr Mike's Defensive Player of the Game, played key roles in the win.  New Westminster has moved 1 point back of first place with a game in hand.

Come out Tuesday, June 10, for Minor Lacrosse Family Night and the Reunion of the 'Bellies Minto Cup Champion team of 1994.  The Jr's take on the Port Coquitlam Saints. See which fan base will be larger!! PoCo Minor or New Westminster Minor?!!!

Juniors rout Saints

On Friday night, the Jr Bellies dominated the Port Coquitlam Saints enroute to a 19-5 victory for their 10th win of the year.  Reese Robinson continued his fine defensive play and was awarded the Mr Mikes Defensive Player of the Game. Anthony Malcom was an offensive dynamo all evening and was the Mr Mikes Offensive Player of the Game with 2 goals and 8 assists. Mike Flintoff was strong in net for the Juniors.
