Join the New Westminster Jr A Salmonbellies for their season opener on May 6 at Queen's Park Arena versus the Langley Thunder.
General Manager Jamie Stewart is pleased to announce the appointment of Warren Goss as Director of Player Personnel for the Salmonbellies Junior & Intermediate programs, and as Head Coach of the Intermediate A team.
Goss has extensive history with New Westminster Minor Lacrosse and has a proven track record of Provincial & National Championships at all levels he has coached. “We are extremely pleased to have such a strong coach and mentor involved with our organization”, commented Stewart. “Together with assistant coaches Kyle Robinson, Darren Haugen and Scott Janssen, our Intermediate A team has some of the best coaching available in Canada.”
Head Coach Dan Perreault has added Rob Dalzell, one of the greatest players to come through New Westminster Minor Lacrosse, to the coaching staff.
Dalzell has a storied background in lacrosse. He held numerous scoring records and titles while playing for the Jr A Salmonbellies in the late 1970’s. A member of Canada’s National Field team from 1979 – 1982, Dalzell also played Division 1 lacrosse at North Carolina State University.
He joins the Jr A Salmonbellies after coaching Minor lacrosse in Ridge Meadows, Intermediate and Junior lacrosse in Langley and Junior in PoCo.
The New Westminster Jr A Salmonbellies are pleased to announce that rugged transition specialist Mitch MacAulay has joined the team. Mitch, a Mission product, is considered one of the best defensive transition players in the province. He will make an immediate impact and will excite fans with his forays up the floor.
